Producer Ekta Kapoor lately has been on the receiving end for allegedly showing objectionable content in her web show XXX season 2. Last month, she was grilled by Supreme Court after a bench of Justices claimed she is polluting the minds of the young generation of this country through her shows. Now, Ekta has reacted to severe backlash on her OTT shows like ‘Gandii Baat’, ‘XXX’, ‘Bekaaboo,’ and ‘Ragini MMS’. While doing so, the TV Mogul seemingly took an indirect dig at Karan Johar.

Taking to her Instagram story, Ekta shared a note that read, “Tum karo toh Lust Stories aur hum kare toh Gandi Baat #Hypocracy.” Soon after she shared the post, several netizens claimed she made an indirect hit at KJo by mentioning his show Lust Stories. Karan Johar directed the 2020 released anthology Lust Stories had four short stories revolving around sex, physical intimacy, and adultery. ALSO READ: WHAT! For the unversed, an arrest warrant was issued against Ekta and her mother Shobha Kapoor for promoting adult content in their web show XXX - season 2. The complaint was filed by Shambhu Kumar, an ex-serviceman who accused Ekta of hurting the sentiments of the soldier's family members by insulting them in their web series. Even, YouTuber and Ex Bigg Boss contestant Hindustani Bhau had filed a Police complaint against Ekta and Shobha, raising an objection over XXX.

‘XXX season 2’ starred Ribbhu Mehra, Parree Pande, Aaditi Kohli, and B Shantanu. The first part of the show had Kyra Dutt, Aparnaa Bajpai, Rithvik Dhanjani, Shantanu Maheshwari, Ankit Gera, Pryanca Talukdar, and Aparna Sharma in the lead roles and was released in 2018.
